Edition Notes

Holograph, signed with initials.

Maria Weston Chapman writes about the progress of the anti-slavery fair in Boston. She asks Elizabeth B. Chapman Laugel to write to Mrs. Louise Keller and tell her that her box of contributions [for the anti-slavery fair] arrived safely. Chapman gives the prices at which the various items at fair were sold. Chapman says that "the population of Boston is one half foreign." She comments on the Boston Irish.
