Edition Notes

Holograph.

Caroline Weston rejoices over the current interest in peace and that the Newark Ladies' Peace Society has been turned to "this great subject." The sympathy of Christian friends is greatly valued. War has been glorfied too long.

The letter is written in pencil with many erasures.

Written on a fragment or label, is: "rough copies of old letters of Caroline Weston."

For another version of this letter, see Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.6, p.64.
