Edition Notes

Handwritten copy of letter; not William Lloyd Garrison's handwriting. The original letter is in the Iowa State Library.

William Lloyd Garrison tells the publisher of the Daily Times not to send a reporter to interview him. Instead, he will express his "sentiments concerning political matters and the state of the country, generally through the press," under his own signature, when he is so inclined.
