Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

Mrs. Mary Welsh presumably wrote this letter to Anne Warren Weston. Mary Welsh writes that she is sending off a box from the Glasgow Female Anti-Slavery Society to the Boston bazaar, which will be "accompanied by one [box] from Perth." She would like to know what articles sell the best and which are the least wanted. The contributions are less than last year, possibly because of the commercial depression. Mary Welsh expresses the sympathy and enthusiasm of her group. She signs the letter "yours in the cause of humanity Mary Welsh, sec[retary]."
