Dated: In the House of Representatives, June 6, 1776.

Order that the Speaker, Major Hawley, and Col. Danielson shall join a Committee to prepare and report a letter to the delegates of the Congress on the subject of raising two battalions. Read in Council and concurred, James Bowdoin and John Winthrop joined, signed by John Lowell. The handwriting of the concurrence by the Council is that of John Lowell.
