Riddle was born on March 18, 1933 in Los Angeles. He received an AA in earth science at LA City College, a BA in education and art at CSU Los Angeles and an MA at CSU Los Angeles. He has executed many public art works, many of them on prominent buildings, in Georgia and in California. He has also art for Hollywood productions, one of which (Renaissance in Black--Two Artists' Lives, arnered him two Emmys in 1971.
