"I am inclined to believe that the poster advertising the symposium from which this volume derives says it all for me: the wicked and the weak meeting at Munich to decide the fate of Czechoslovakia; and, in disposing of the Czechs, determining the destiny of the world for the next seven years-a destiny we know to be fraught with destruction and unexampled horrors; and this historic meeting is portrayed against the background of what I take to be Nazis rallying at Nuremberg (and beneath which are the bombed-out buildings that resulted from their triumphant march to power)."
