There is no better way for the children of the Americas to get to know each other than by playing each others' games and singing each others' songs.

With the help of prominent representatives of our neighbor republics, Frank Henius has assembled a delightful collection. There are very old Spanish games, the very names of which are an invitation to play them —The Spotted Bird, Golden Thread, Sweet Orange, Juan Simplón. There are, too, newer games and those that are very similar to our own.

A few charming songs are included —Cú-cú Sang the Frong*, Beatiful Princess Isabel, Little White Dove. Countries in which the games and songs are known are indicated, so that they may be used to supplement the study of the coutries in schools, or for plays and pageants.
