The Vanishing Cousin…

The Chateau Galba looked out of place on the California coast, and Meg Parrish felt out of place in its odd household. There was her Aunt Christina, the Countess Galba, and her flirtatious husband, Dante; there was Sonpur, and enigmatic East Indian who was more than servant, and Stella Torri who was more than a secretary. There had also been Jock Galba, the Count’s cousin, who disappeared the same day Meg arrived at the chateau … killed, it was supposed, by a shark while scuba-diving. But there were some puzzling questions about Jock’s disappearance, the most puzzling … to Meg … why no one wanted to report it to the police…
