Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
Richard Allen looks back often to the "three interesting days in which thou & thy much loved companion, N.P. Rogers, were amongst us ..." He feels that "we must do our part in endeavouring to send out our emigrant countrymen sound on great principle of man's universal charter to liberty; ..." He discusses nonresistance. He objects to renouncing "all appeal to or support of human governments." He called on Theobald Mathew, who regretted the exclusion of the women delegates from the World's Anti-Slavery Convention. He hopes for the day when slavery shall end.
