Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
Nathaniel Barney remembers the pleasant meeting he had with Maria Weston Chapman in Weymouth. He comments: "Thy beloved mother interested me greatly, & her presence brot' [sic] my own mother most forcibly to my remembrance. The latter passed to her home in Heaven thirteen years ago, at the advanced age of 85, after a widowhood of over thirty years." Nathaniel Barney encloses ten dollars for the anti-slavery fair.
