Hunt informs Garrison that he will have delivered to him once available the latest proofs for the final volume of Wilson's "The History of the Rise and Fall of the Slave Power in America", which he is finishing following Wilson's passing. Hunt requests Garrison's criticisms of the proof, and expresses his anxiety at completing Wilson's work given both the importance of the subject and the stature of Wilson's work to date.
