Binding: contemporary purple paste-paper wrappers. Spine reinforced with later marbled paper.

At lower right-hand corner of t.p. is stamp in black ink, consisting of the initials CGS surmounted by a coronet, and at upper right-hand corner of inside back cover is the signature: C.G. Stephanie (Christian Gottlob Stephanie, 1733-1798, actor, poet and playwright).
