STC (2nd ed.), 14769

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in modern brown morocco panelled in gilt. The title is stamped in gilt along the spine. An early, though non-original wrapper cover is bound in at front, with a sales description, by Sotheby & Wilkson and inscribed in the hand of Thomas Pennant Barton tipped onto the verso. The armorial bookplate of the Barton Library is present on the front pastedown. An early autograph is present at the head of the title page, though it is rendered illegible by page trimming. Another early inscription is present along the fore edge of Q3v and several early inscriptions are present on Q4v. One of the inscriptions is an ex-libris, though the name has been trimmed out.
