Henry Brewster Stanton writes Amos Augustus Phelps noting his approval of Phelps' efforts towards the "organization of your new Society", and relays the approval of others he has encountered and conversed with regarding this project, including Theodore Weld. Stanton asserts that there is "no doubt" that the Committee will recognize Phelps' society as "auxiliary in the fullest sense".
