Original French edition edited by L.A. Milet de Mureau.

Engraved title page to Atlas reads: Charts and plates to La Pérouse's Voyage, and is dated Novr. 1st 1798.

"Narrative of an interesting voyage of the frigate la Princesa, from Manilla to San Blas, in 1780, 1781", translated from the Spanish of F.A. Mourelle, v. 1, p. 194-241.

"Extract from the account of a voyage made in 1779, by Don Francisco Antonio Maurelle ... to explore the western coast of North America": v. 1, p. 242-255.

Includes selections of vocabulary in the Port des Français language, v. 1, p. 409-410, and in the Ecclemach language, v. 1, p. 468-469; these languages would appear to be part of the Wakashan group of languages spoken on the Pacific Northwest coast. There is a selection of vocabulary in the language of the inhabitants of Tchoka island, v. 2, p. 80-85, which is identified as located near the Kamchatka Peninsula.
