George Jeffrey Tillotson writes to Amos A. Phelps about his investments, specifically asking him to buy shares in various railroads. On the second page, Tillotson begins a new later, dated "Ap[ril] 25th," and gives Phelps addiontial directions of investing his money. He is now more interested in the "national insurance stock" and asks Phelps to "buy 3 or 4 shares for me, ie invest 150 or 200 doll[ar]s. in it." He closes the letter by telling Phelps of the recent addition of new church members and the death of his niece from scarlet fever.
