This item contains a copy of a hymn, suspected to be sent to Amos A. Phelps. The annotation on verso states that this is a hymn sung by blacks ́on the island opp. Charleston.́ A note below the hymn says the hymn contains a few words used by the slaves ́for which English owns [some?] substitutes.́
