Martin Frank was an assistant DA (prosecuting attorney) in the Bronx from 1926-1940. He left the office for the bench. This is his memoir of his time as a DA. He discusses some cases he worked on,but also addresses more philosophical issues like a DA's duty to make sure the right person is charged with a crime. The "diary" mentioned is not literal.
