Volume title verso includes markings in blue pencil script and date (October 14, 1874) in pencil script. Printed on wove papers. Rear pastedown includes ink stamp (reading "AUG 30 1927") at head. Work itself includes original paper wrapper, which features various markings and embossed stamp on cover, and an unautographed presentation inscription, in black ink script, attributed to author at head of cover.
