Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in ca. 19th-century diced Russia panelled in gilt and blind shell tools and rebacked in brown morocco with early compartments retained. All text block edges decorated with pulled paste. The armorial bookplate of Abram E. Cutter is present on the front pastedown. The front free endpaper and front flyleaf contain early bibliographical inscriptions and the autograph of Edward White, dated 1824, is present on the latter. Three different booksellers' descriptions, depicting various copies, are tipped onto the second front flyleaf. An engraved portrait of Tasso (published by Charles Knight, engraved by Robert Hart) is bound-in before the title page. In this copy, there are three sections containing interleaved materials: between G6 and H1, between P1 and P2, between 2B6 and 2C1, between 2G3 and 2G4, and following 2L4. The interleaved materials are primarily articles related to Tasso and other booksellers' descriptions. Early inscriptions and autographs, present on the first and final leaves, are faded to illegibility.
