Imprint based on colophon ([rum]7): LAVS DEO HONOR ET GLORIA. LEONIS BAPTISTAE ALBERTI FLORENTINI VIRI CLArissimi de re Aedificatoria opus elega[n]tissimu[m] et qnamaxime utile: Florentiae accuratissime impressum opera Magistri Nicolai Laurentii Alamani: Anno Salutis Millesimo octuagesimo quinto: quarto Kalendas Ianuarius.

With Angelo Poliziano's dedicatory Epistola ad Laurentium Medicem and Baptista Siculus's Carmen ad lectorem. It appears from Poliziano's epistle that the editing was done by Alberti's brother Bernardo (cf. ISTC).

Signatures: a-d́ı éœ f-óı ṕœ q-źı &́ı [con]́ı [rum]́ı.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in ca. 18th/19th-century red goatskin panelled in gilt. The spine is panelled and tooled in gilt. All text block edges are stained yellow, with the title inscribed along the fore edge. Present on the recto of the front flyleaf is a purchase inscription referencing the Hammond sale of July, 1815, here conjectured to be in the hand of Richard Heber. Early marginalia is present on a2 verso. The copy described herein comports with the first variant described in BM 15th century (IB.27125a: [rum]8 and the innermost sheet of gathering I printed in Nerlius 110 R).
