Title on added engraved t.p. (v. 1): The masterpieces of the International Exhibition 1876 : illustrated catalogue.

Each volume has frontispiece plate ([1] leaf) and in-text illustrations; vol. 1 also has many plates which are listed in the contents divided by type (i.e. Engravings on steel, Sculpture, Engravings on wood) and within the type arranged alphabetically by artist with page references to the plate and to the decriptive text. In some cases the "plate" is really an in-text illustration.

Binding: cloth boards; half morocco; gilt rules along spine and corner; gilt spine; all edges gilt.
