Work Description
This book written in French in the form of an essay traces the life history of Subramania Bharati, the great nationalist and revolutionary poet of Tamilnadu. His stay in Pondicherry, a French colony, from 1908 to 1918, during which period he produced 75% of his works has been given special attention in this book. Pondicherry and its environment and also the French values seems to have contributed very much to the evolution of Bharati as a revolutionary writer and poet. A special feature of this book is that in the second part of it, 40 poems of Bharati have been translated into French from Tamil by the author himself.
