Work Description

A quick read with the characters' personalities not extensively developed--as was possibly the author's intent.
This English version (by Maurice Michael) reputedly taken from the Russian edition, has ostensibly lost much of its original flavour and impact due to the pitfalls of translation. Reportedly, the Bulgarian version has a different ending.
