Possibly a false imprint. Probably printed in France; p.1-4, 3rd count, contain advertisements by 'Durand, libraire, rue S. Jacques'
Barbier gives place of publication as Peking and Paris : Durand neveu, 1766; According to Cioranescu and BN, first printed without "Epitre", p. [1]-80, 4th count, Amsterdam, 1766.
"Chapitre V. Des Américains et des Africains", p. 52-61, 2nd count, also contains religious customs of the Natches Indians, Peruvians, Mexicans, and Hottentots.
"Epitre de Didon a Enée", and other epitres, p. [1]-80, 4th count, have divisional title pages.
