"Kenkaku Shobai Hamon" (剣客商売 13巻 波紋):Kenkaku Shobai volume13 - Hamon) is a series of swordsman entertainment short stories set in Edo period written by Shotaro IKENAMI (池波 正太郎) released from 1979 to 1989.
The 19 volumes paperbacks have more than 100 episodes in total, which are adapted into TV drama in 70's and 80's to gain good reputation.
The protagonists are swordsman father (秋山小兵衛) and his son (大治郎) who opens sword training dojo (school) in Edo.

The Kenkaku Shobai series is also adapted into films and Manga as such other Ikenami's historical fiction stories as "Onihei hankacho (鬼平犯科帳)" and "Shikakenin Fujieda Baian (仕掛人・藤枝梅安 Master Assassin)".
Many of his books have been all-time-best long sellers.
An anime adaption of "Onihei" was aired in 2017 celebrating its 50th anniversary of the novella's first release.
