Engraved t.p. by Gaspare Grispoldi, incorporating a portrait bust of the author. Engraved caption titles for trattati 1 & 2. Trattato 2 has 40 numbered in-text engravings. The captions of nos. 19-23 state that they are from the hands of Gio. Domenico Pallavisino, Giorgio Doria, Bartolomeo Lomellino and Giacomo Cattaneo; the work is dedicated to all four on the t.p. Barezzi's woodcut printer's device, p. 299 (serpent). Initials.
