"The principal published genealogy of the House of Boyneburg is contained in a series of seven tables (Tafeln) in the much-cited 'Stammbuch der Althessischen Ritterschaft' by the deaf-mute nobleman, Baron Rudolf von Buttlar-Elderberg (1858) ... The purpose of the present paper is to publicize the errors and inconsistencies in von Buttlar-Elderberg's work;, to provide some solution to problems raised by him, and to give the paper wide distribution, especially in Germany, with the hope that interested scholars with a thorough knowledge of the German language and difficult script, will completely re-construct the genealogy of the House of Boyneburg." (leaf 3).
Consists chiefly of genealogy of German ancestry to the 11th century of Anna Juliana von Boyneburg gennant Hohenstein (1646-1704), who married Matthias Sartorius (ca.1645-1694) in 1680. Their daughter, Margaretha Catharina Sartorius, married Johann Philipp Rübenkam (1670-1725), and immigrated in 1726 from Germany to Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, as a widow with her family. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
