Holo mai Pele

A companion site to the Great Performances "Dance in America" program titled "Holo mai Pele," co-produced by Pacific Islanders in Communications, International Cultural Programming, and Thirteen/WNET New York. Tells the epic saga of the rivalry between Pele, Hawaiian goddess of the volcano, and her sister Hi'iaka. The one-hour program features a display of ancient hula and chant. The site features Hawaiian culture, the Hula, Hawaiian mythology, and the Holo mai Pele story. It also includes classroom lessons for students in grades 6-10.
