The twelve sibyls are here associated with Christian virtues, each sibyl's portrait followed by Latin and Spanish verses and a prose biography.

"Dirigidos a don Lorencio de Figueroa cavallero de la religion de S. Juan, embajador por esta sagrada religion en la corte de su Mag[estad] y comendador de las encomiendas de Pazos Arrenteiros y Peñalen."

Signatures: [paragraph sign]⁸ A-I⁸.

Leaves are printed on both sides. Text and marginalia printed within ruled frames. Verses and Latin text printed in italics.

Engraved title in architectural frame includes Figueroa coat of arms. Twelve full-page woodcut portraits portray the sibyls, each holding a book or other object, each within a circular frame with Latin motto and inside a larger ornamental frame with Latin verse in lower compartment.
