Three projects (General Report, Edmonton and Calgary) were authorized by the Government to inquire into poverty in the province. Appendices cover communities of Metis of Lac La Biche area, Drumheller valley, Innisfail area, Dixonville and Blueberry Mountain areas, Niton area, and Indians of Saddle Lake Reserve.

Appendix A: Report of a study designed to explore the nature of human resources as they are related to a socially distinct group - the Metis of the Lac La Biche area. Human resources are considered to be psychological, social and political factors which interact with geographical, economic and other aspects of the environment to produce the way of life of a people.
