In January 2009, a new law went into effect that requires all first-time DUI offenders who wish to drive during the statutory summary suspension period to apply for a Monitoring Device Driving Permit (MDDP). The MDDP allows an offender to drive during the suspension period with a Breath Alcohol Interlock Device (BAIID) installed in his or her vehicles.

This brochure provides information about the MDDP and BAIID, including eligibility, provisions for indigent offenders, work exemptions and costs of the program. For more information ... contact ... BAIID Division or visit www.cyberdriveillinois.com.
