Probably a translation of the author's "De herba panacea" published at Utrecht in 1644. Cf. Church, no. 557.
Epistle dedicatory (running title) signed: J.R.
Comprises translations of the author's De herba panacea, first printed Antwerp, 1587, that was printed as part of Johann Neander's Tabacologica, first printed Leiden, 1622. Also includes some passages from Charles L'Ecluses' [i.e. Carolus Clusius] edition of Nicolás Monardes Exoticorum libri decem, first printed Leiden, 1605.
"Panacea, or The universall medicine; being a discourse and discription [sic] of tobacco, with its preparation and use", p. 1-79, 2nd count, has separate caption title.
"Dr Everard his discourse of the wonderfull effects & operation of tobacco", p. 1-55, 4th count, has separate caption title.
