Lambert Wood in title page transcription is the anglicized name of Lambert van den Bos.

Translation of the author's: Florus Anglicus sive Rerum Anglicarum ap ipso exordio usque ad Caroli Primi mortem deductarum compendium, first printed in Amsterdam, 1651.

First printed in English in London, 1657.

Two concurrent issues were printed in London by Simon Miller in the same year: one with 464 p. and an ediiton statement reading: Third edition (Wing, B37777B), and the other with [16], 271, [1] p. and an edition statement reading: The third edition with additions (Wing, B3777BA)

The section on Elizabeth I, p. 199-206, contains references to Sir Fancis Drake's voyages in the West Indies.
