This new prayer book combines traditional Marian prayers such as the Memorare and Hail Holy Queen with more modern petitions to present the heartfelt needs of daily life to the Mother of all Christians.
Currently there is a second English edition by VE Editors.
Divided into five sections, these 60 prayers cover the range of universal human experiences and desires and reflect the confidence in maternal intervention that has always been the hallmark of devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

First Sentence

"When the Lord Jesus was lifted up from the earth to the Cross, He began drawing everyone toward Him. While suffering on the Cross He uttered some blessed words, which are called His Testament or Last Will. Addressing the Immaculate Virgin Mary, His Mother, He said: “Woman, behold, your son.” And to the disciple, He said: “Behold, your Mother.”"

Work Description

With Mary in Prayer. Pastoral Edition, is a very handy book, small enough in size to be carried on the pocket, a purse, a back bag, for it has prayers for a number of situations we encounter in daily life. It carries also traditional prayers, acts of Consecration to Mary, prayer to visit Lord Jesus in the Tabernacle, intercessory prayers. The editors say it is a selection of prayers specially chosen for youth and young adults, but it seems everyone can benefit from the beautiful prayers in this small book. By the way it is free to the members of the Christian Life Movement in English speaking countries.

Excerpts

On the Face of Suffering

Suffering Mother,
you have been called
for centuries.

And with good reason,
for your suffering
was beyond description.

Your heart,
pierced with the sword,
makes us remember vividly
that you are also a teacher
on how to suffer
with the proper disposition.

So teach me
to bear suffering
with fortitude,
to endure it
with a vision of eternity,
with a hope
associated to the reconciling Cross
of your Son,
the sweet Lord Jesus,
of which you give
such a wonderful example.

I venture to think
that the mystery of your suffering
was overwhelming at times,
just as today
I feel overwhelmed.

So please help me
with your powerful intercession,
and obtain the grace
that shall allow me to learn
and live
your example
and lessons intensely.
Amen.

To Be Grateful

How easy it is for us
to ask for your help
and intercession,
and how soon we forget
to thank you for the grace
and favors
we pray for
and you obtain for us.
