Harrisville was an early Welsh coal-mining camp in eastern Alameda County, California. From 1862 to 1907, several coal mines were opened and supported by a town of 100 residents. Harrisville contributed to the early industrial development of the Livermore Valley. This book tells about the interesting story of Harrisville, its coal mines, and its people.
