They are translated from his book Jésuites de la Nouvelle-France ... The selections that were originally written in Latin, however, are here translated directly from that language ... Passages that are included in The Jesuit relations and allied documents, edited by Rueben Gold Thwaites ... have also been completely retranslated into English."
