This is a VERY interesting read of Canadian pioneer, prairie, life, and the biography of A. Katharine Francis. Born at 2 a.m., Sunday, October 29, 1893, in Wales, Great Britain, Alice Katharine Francis [nee: Garnons Williams] and her husband, Charles Philip Montagne Francis [son of Dr. George Philip Francis - Beacon, Wales, whom delivered Katherine into the world] emigrated to Canada in 1923 and ranched together on the Two Bar Ranch from 1925 until his death in 1966. She continued to ranch with children, Garnons PHILIP FRANCIS[m.Anna Watt] and RUTH Mary Bolelyn FRANCIS, until 1971 when Katharine and daughter Ruth retired to a two acre site, 1/2 mile east of Virden, MB. Also born to this union, was KATHARINE Elizabeth NEWTON {nee Francis].
