Comprises the reformed calendar and its canons and tables, as recommended by the papal commission, with Gregory XIII's bull "Inter gravissimas" (dated Feb. 24, 1581 and promulgated Mar. 1, 1582) sanctioning the reform. Cf. Catholic encyclopedia, IX, p. 248-251.

Device of Jacques Kerver on t.p. (unicorn holding shield with his chiffre).
"Extraict du Priuilege du roy" (leaf [3] verso) is dated "le iiij. iour de nouembre, 1582".
Signatures: A⁶ B-E⁸ chi1 (E2 signed 'Aij'). The unsigned last leaf in LC copy is at variance with Adams C-198 which reports F².
