"The commission's duties included, but were not limited to, a review of the scientific literature to identify what is known about ocean acidification and steps that are needed to enhance scientific research and monitoring, develop mitigation and remediation strategies, and steps that could be taken to increase public awareness of coastal and ocean acidification. Resolve 2013, chapter 110, directed the commission to submit any proposed legislation needed to implement its recommendations to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over marine resources matters." - Executive summary.
