"The ... Life of St. Peter of Alcantara is a translation from the work of Father Marchese of the Roman oratory, and is translated from the French edition published at Lyons in 1670." Cf. Pref., v.1.

The original work, in Italian, was published in Rome, in 1667, under title: Vita del b. Pedro d'Alcántara.
