Reprinted from a St. Petersburg edition (probably the offical one) of 1769. Not mentioned in Bilʹbasov. Lacks the "médaillon représentant Sa Majesté l'impératrice Catherine II., dessiné & gravé d'aprés un médaillon en plâtre ..." cf. Avertissement, on verso of 3rd prelim. leaf.
Has etched/engraved frontispiece portrait of Catherine II; signed: C. Boily, del.et fecit. Etched title vignette dated 1762.
LC Copy 1 trimmed to 17 cm.; in doublure binding with botanical tooling in corners and on spine, gilt borders front and back. Has red ink stamp on title page: Cabinet de Mr. de St. Albin. Has Library of Congress Yudin book labels. Has LC accession no. 128209 dated 1908: not the Yudin accession number. Shelved with the Yudin Collection.
