Benedict apparently had nothing to do with the authorship of the "Gesta Henrici Secundi". It was probably transcribed by his orders, together with the other manuscripts which he added to the monastic library. The real author is not known. cf. Dict. nat. biog.
Paged continuously; v. 2 has half-title only; head and tail pieces and initials; title within double lines.
