First published in 1652 as "Synonymorum et epithetorum thesaurus," but later published with the title "Gradus ad Parnassum," by which the work is commonly known. Both Paul Aler and Jacques Vanière have been attributed as editor of the Gradus ad Parnassum for editions published around the time of this one. Cf. Barbier, A.A. Ouvrages anonymes.
