Theater! Corner of 11th and C streets, near Pennsylvania avenue. Manager Mr. Humphrey Bland, Musical director: Mr. Sandy Jamieson, stage manager Mr. F. Williams ... Benefit of the Widows of the Slain Soldiers of the 79th Reg't. Robertson's Regimental Band will perform several overtures and national airs. Wednesday, August 7, 1861, the performance will commence with the comedietta of "Cousin Cherry" ... After which, various members of the Regiment will appear in a series of Songs & Dances ... Messrs. Cumming, Goulay, and Crassan, will appear in Full Highland Costume! To conclude with the farce of "A Pretty Piece of Business" ... To-morrow will be produced, for the first time in many years, the operetta of "The Poor Soldier" ...
