This is a study of the life of La phyi ba Nam mkha' rgyal mtshan who was a yogi of the bKa brgyud-school. This work especially examines his long stay in La phyi, one of the most sacred sites of Tibetan Buddhism. He is considered to be part of an important lineage holders pa including the Shang and Bri gung-traditions. The work contains the annotated translation of the life story, written in 1439, as well as text and translation of a Bittgebetes by the great yogi Mi la ras pa, who is regarded as the reincarnation of La phyi ba Nam mkha rgyal mtshan.
