Brayman was editor of The youth's casket from 1855 to 1857.
Blakeman & Mason published at 21 Murray Street in New York from 1862 to 1864. Breed, Butler & Co. published in Buffalo between 1861 and 1866. James M. Johnson in known to have been in business in Buffalo in 1862. Cf. AAS 19th century American children's book trade directory.
