Over the course of the 18th century, a large number of German-speaking booksellers, printers, and publishers were active in the London book trade. This study examines the German-language book trade in the English capital and shows that it had a major impact on the London book trade and on cultural exchange between Germany and England. The work makes an important contribution to the history of the German-English book trade.--Provided by publisher.
