Edition Notes

With: Institutiones. Institutionum siue primorum totius iurisprudentiae elementorum libri quatuor. Venetiis : [s.n.], 1591. Probably issued together.
The law texts are surrounded by gloss or commentary, with additional notes in the margins.
Printed in black and red.
Together with the Institutiones of same year, this is apparently (without it being explicitly stated) the fifth volume in the edition of all parts of Justinian's Corpus produced in 1591 by the same publisher (Societas Aquilae se Renovantis?)
Device on t.p.: eagle on rock in the sea, with motto "Renovabitur ut aquilae iuventus tua," variant with the four signature themes of Scoto, Varisco, Sessa, and Zenaro in the corners as noted in Zappella, v. 1, p. 68, u, although not same as Zappella fig. 140 (the two figures flanking the main image are putti)
Signatures: *¹⁰ aa-oo⁸ pp²(pp2 blank); a-y⁸ z⁴; aA-hH⁸ iI¹⁰(iI10 blank).
Includes indexes.
